Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of InQ Ledger software and services provided by InQ Tax Inc. ("Company," "we," "us"). By purchasing a license or using the software, you agree to these Terms.

1. License

Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use InQ Ledger on computers you own or control. One license covers unlimited company files on computers associated with your account.

You may not sublicense, resell, rent, or transfer your license to another party.

2. Subscriptions and Billing

InQ Ledger is offered on monthly and annual subscription plans. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your account portal at inqledger.com/account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods except where required by law.

3. Trial

A 30-day free trial is available without a credit card. At the end of the trial, InQ Ledger enters read-only mode. Your data remains intact and accessible. You may purchase a subscription at any time to restore full access.

4. Your Data

Your company files and accounting data are stored locally on your machine. We have no access to your data. You are solely responsible for backing up your company files. We are not liable for data loss resulting from hardware failure, accidental deletion, or any other cause.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
• Attempt to circumvent license verification or copy protection
• Use the software for any unlawful purpose
• Share your license key with persons outside your organization

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

InQ Ledger is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the software will be error-free or uninterrupted. The software is a bookkeeping tool — it does not provide tax, legal, or financial advice. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy of your financial records.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, InQ Tax Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of InQ Ledger, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Updates and Changes

We reserve the right to update InQ Ledger and these Terms at any time. Material changes to pricing or features will be communicated by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Jackson County, Missouri.
